The story of one ordinary person’s journey to try being a little extra ordinary.

Our story starts sometime in the 70’s in little ol’ New Zealand when CptJaffa aka Captain Jaffa emerges fully formed.

Why Jaffa?

Well in NZ a Jaffa is a round chocolate sweet coated in a jaffa flavoured hard shell. I’m a sucker for chocolate. Jafa or Jaffa are also acronyms for abusing Aucklanders or petrol station workers. Me in both cases.

JAFA = Just Another F—ing Aucklander (said by anyone not from Auckland)

JAFFA = Just Another F—ing Forecourt Attendant

Taking CptJaffa as my name is how I stay “Jenny from the block” and keep it real, reminding me of where it all started.
